My husband I are both from Ariton, AL. We have a twonager named Baylor, and she is primarily what sparked my interest in starting my own business. In April of last year, we finally finished building our home after a long 20 months. Shortly after settling in, we realized we wanted to be there together as much as possible.
Baylor was 18 months old at the time, and I felt like I was constantly throwing money away by spending so much on her clothes for them to be stained or ruined after 30 minutes of wear (if I was lucky to get that long). I started looking into sublimation as a way to cut costs making her shirts myself. I also hoped to eventually turn it into an extra source of income. I had been a nurse full time for 6 years and had a long term goal of going part time to be home more with my family.
I created a Facebook group and opened my first shirt order in September of 2020. I was absolutely blown away with the response, and it was full steam ahead from there. In 7 weeks I had no choice but to cut my hours in half at the hospital. I have absolutely loved being able to work so much from home.
Each shirt, hand towel, bag, and pillow is made with love and meticulous care right at our kitchen island. Most days my husband is right beside me helping fulfill orders. (Other days he needs a break as apparently my "quality control is too strict").
It is so special to me to be able to make personalized shirts for your kids. It warms my heart seeing pictures of them in their shirts for birthdays, vacations, or just playing outside at home, and I feel so blessed that you choose to shop Clover and Twine.
